Essential Elements of the PYP:

These 5 essential elements of the Primary Years Programme work together to create the overall learning profile that we hope our students exhibit each and every day.  The key concepts are how we make broad connections between the content we are teaching within the 6 transdisciplinary units (knowledge).  Students use the skills in order to be successful day to day while also demonstrating the attitudes.  We hope that by empowering our students with these elements that they will be better equipped with strategies to take action in the community and world around them.  By practicing these things, we are creating internationally minded citizens of the world!

Exhibition:

This year our 5th graders will take part in the Exhibition and our theme will be Sharing the Planet.  This will happen during the Spring semester and will be a reflection of their learning throughout all their schooling so far.  They will be exploring alternative energy sources and coming up with an action plan to come up with their own solutions.
